The NIELIT CCC (Course on Computer Concepts) is a basic IT literacy certification offered by NIELIT under the Ministry of Electronics and IT, Government of India. It is designed to teach essential computer skills needed for everyday digital tasks, office work, and government job requirements.
Start by downloading the official CCC syllabus (Revision 5) from nielit.gov.in and use the free NIELIT e-books available in English and Hindi. Practice regularly with our online mock tests.
The CCC course covers ten key chapters: introduction to computer, operating system (Windows), word processing using LibreOffice Writer or MS Word, spreadsheet using LibreOffice Calc or Excel, presentation using LibreOffice Impress or PowerPoint, introduction to internet and email, digital financial tools like UPI and net banking, basic cyber security, GUI-based operating systems, and an overview of future skills including AI and IoT basics.
The syllabus includes all ten chapters mentioned above with a total of 100 multiple-choice questions to be answered in 90 minutes. The passing marks are 50% and there is no negative marking.
Solve at least 50 MCQs daily focusing on LibreOffice Writer, Calc, and Impress. Memorize common keyboard shortcuts, practice internet and email-related questions, and use the CCC Exam Prep mobile app available on Google Play Store for on-the-go practice.
The CCC certificate is mandatory for many government job applications especially for data entry operators and clerks, accepted across state and central government recruitments, helps in-service government employees get promotions, and enhances your resume with recognized digital literacy skills.
The CCC certificate has lifetime validity and does not require renewal.
